A Short Visit, A Full Vigan Experience!
Vigan’s festival celebration full of life, culture, and excitement, even for someone who stayed only for a short time. I was able to experience some of the events during my visit, and even in just one to two days, it already showed why Vigan is known as a heritage city filled with tradition and community spirit.
One of the highlights of my visit was attending the free Concert held in Vigan. The crowd was energetic, and the music brought people together, locals and visitors alike. Seeing people sing along and enjoy the moment made the celebration feel warm and lively. It showed how festivals in Vigan are not only about tradition but also about unity and enjoyment.
Another memorable part of my visit was the Longganisa Parade. Vigan is famous for its longganisa, and the parade proudly highlighted this local product. The colorful displays and festive atmosphere made it exciting to watch. It also showed how local products play an important role in promoting Vigan’s culture and boosting tourism.
I also visited the Kannawidan area, although it was not yet fully open. Only a section of it was available, and it was mostly filled with food stalls. Even so, the area was already busy with people trying different foods and enjoying the festival vibe. This showed how food is an important part of Vigan’s celebrations and how the festival supports small vendors.
Overall, my short visit during the festival was enough to appreciate Vigan’s culture, local products, and strong sense of community. Even without attending all the events or visiting on the main feast day, the experiences I had were meaningful and memorable. It proved that even a brief stay in Vigan during festival season can already give a full and enjoyable experience.
